Budget Doom Updated Version


It was never my intention to work more on this game, but I recently found out that my son actually played this game sometimes.  I had a lot of other WIPs, but I just don't really feel like doing any of it, but knowing that someone actually play a game that I had worked on really make me feel a little motivated. So, I decided to try and improve the game a little bit.  

Here are the changes I'd made:

  • Added pause screen with audio settings and an option to quit the game. 
  • New map, still small but with more exciting layout.   
  • Updated the enemy:
    • Enemy movement is using Navmesh now.  
    • Enemies can go up the crates too. Beware!
    • A bit of change on the enemy's design and animation. 
  • Picking up health and ammo are much easier now. 
  • Edited the weapon textures to match the overall look of the game. 
  • Added new audios for UI and for game over effect.
  • I remove the 'slow time' shop since I don't think it works, since it just slows down everything and doesn't seem to add much to the gameplay and I'm just too lazy to make it works.  But given the title of the game it does kind of fit. Hahaha. Probably I really shouldn't remove it. 
  • And some bugs fixes.

I hope you enjoy the game as much as I enjoy working on it. 

Since this was a game jam game so I think that I should make a new page for the updated Budget Doom game.
